Not too painful!

So I was super excited that I got to catch up on some sleep on Monday, but I knew that I had double the work for Wednesday.  I was looking forward to doing the poster and I had a genius idea come to me (or at least I thought so!), so I went with it.  The graphics aren't perfect, but the concept is there.  I also did the Detours spread and it is butt ugly.....although I enjoy doing copy heavy assignments like this, I'm not so good at them.  Overall though, not too painful of assignments!

WTF Rusty?!

I think Rusty needs to put down the mountain dew lol!  One day the blog has nothing new and the next day there are three new things on there......I'm gonna die.  But I'm gonna try and keep a positive attitude (despite how insane I feel right now).....Let's do this!

Happiness is a pain in my ass

I keep questioning myself at every turn.  Is that normal?  I actually enjoy type management and finessing the type to make it look good.  The difficult part, for me at least, is how each of the elements work together in a larger composition.  Ugh, I guess I am just in a frustrating mood today.....guess we will see if I get a little red "ok," haven't seen one of those in a while.

Am I Strange?

So as much as most people probably hated this assignment, I actually kind of enjoyed it.  There was A LOT of content and I thought it was actually kind of fun trying to make it all fit in a way that looked good. At first I tried using three columns on each page, but with so much copy it looked hella crowded on the page.  Then I tried two columns per page, which is boring I know, but it seemed to work better.  Although it's not the most dynamic thing in the world, I think I did a pretty good job.

Procrastination...

Like I often do, I procrastinated with this assignment (and no, I have no excuse b/c it was a 3 day weekend).  I think I spent too much time researching and developing a "theme" that, in the end, I needed more time to just work on the image.  Overall, I am not satisfied with the way it turned out.  Hopefully Rusty will let us edit them......I doubt I will be seeing and red "ok"s in the near future.

Let the ugly crap begin....

Well, I'm sitting in the Mac lab in the library (which is like 100 degrees tonight....thanks Truman) making ugly crap.  I just keep thinking that other people are gonna come up with way better stuff than me.....way to  be positive, right?  Two layouts down, one layout and a banner to go.  I am really trying to keep myself to the four hours, and so far so good.  Wish me luck for the next two and pray that Rusty's little red pen puts an "ok" on something. *fingers crossed*

My first blog!

Christmas break is winding down and I keep trying to prepare myself for this upcoming semester, but somehow I think that it's gonna kick my butt no matter how prepared I am.  In order to start the semester (for Vis. Comm. II, that is) I needed to create a blog,..and here it is!  I have never done this before, but I am super excited to see all the possibilites!
