Ok, here's the deal.

Not that this is any newsflash or anything, but I am getting SWAMPED now that it is the end of the semester.  So in order to cut down on my stress, I am going to give Society of Illustrators a good effort but I don't think I am going to go through the process of getting it approved.  I will do it, print it, turn it in and blog it without Rusty's little mark.  Scandalous right?!  But don't worry, I haven't totally given up on the semester.  I will go through the whole approval process with life and death.  Because we only need 4 things for our portfolio I am allowed to kind of blow off one assignment, right?

He's ALIVE!!!

So I ended up having to do him twice in order to please Rusty, and I will admit, the final one turned out better than my first attempt.  I'm really happy with the colors but I somehow lost the squarishness of his head and features from the comp to the final....but that could be me being too picky.

I am so pumped to do this one!  I haven't decided if I am gonna stick to watercolor and line art or if I might do gouache or maybe even a digital drawing!

Here is the final.  This turned out alright.  I am still enjoying watercolor and line art, but I think I may do something different on the next one (watch out!!!).
